Looking For Inspiration
We all have moments in life where we feel that we’re stuck in a rut and long for a way out or hope that our situation will change. We often forget, or don’t realize that we have the power to make that change. The best way to make a change and get what you want from life is having the courage to say what it is you want from your life.
It sounds easy doesn’t it? but it’s actually harder than you think it would be. We’re conditioned from an early age that thinking of yourself is a selfish act and lets be honest there are some people who have the act of thinking of themselves down pat but for those of us who aren’t that way inclined is a little harder to put ourselves and our wants and our need first.
The first stage in getting what we want is naming it. Saying what we want or writing it down so it’s there in black and white is a great motivational tool. So ask yourself what it is that you want and set yourself some short term, achievable goals. Sometimes we set our goals so high that if we don’t achieve them we feel disappointed and it’s the fear of disappointment that usually stops us from trying or believing in the first place.
Creating a vision board is a great way to focus on the hopes and dreams you have for your life. Whether its that perfect partner, your perfect career, how you want to look and feel, what you want from your relationships, where you’d like to travel, what you’d like to see, putting it all there in one place will not only provide inspiration but it will motivate you to go out and get what you want from life.
So get started on putting your vision board together. Cut out pictures from magazines that you love, or inspire you. It could be the hairstyle that you want or the places you want to visit. You can use photographs or pieces of writing that speak to you or inspirational quotes. Put them all on a poster board and put your board somewhere you’ll see it every day. Each morning take a look at your board to remind you of what you want and go out and get it!
